Richard surges to seven as everyone gets a point

A weekend of draws and openers leaves every player on the board for the first time. Emily, Nichola, Sophie, Tega and Henry all picked up their first point over the last two days.

Richard pulls clear on seven points, helped by being in the action more than anyone else. Four of his six teams have already played: Mexico (W), Paraguay (L), Switzerland (D), and Scotland (W) - and Scotland’s 1-0 over Haiti earlier today moved him to the top.

Ella sits second on +2 goal difference, Pete third on +1. Henry stays bottom on minus-two despite Canada’s late equaliser on Friday.

Four more fixtures today: Australia v Türkiye, Germany v Curaçao, Ivory Coast v Ecuador, and Netherlands v Japan.

One to flag: Netherlands v Japan is the first inter-couple match of the tournament. Pete owns the Dutch, Emily owns Japan - a household playing itself. The next one is tomorrow: Spain v Cape Verde in Group H, Ella against Sophie.
