France lands, Pete breaks the streak, England arrives tonight

Yesterday’s marquee fixture went to script: France 3-1 Senegal. Nichola’s tier-1 finally arrived for the headline three points; Henry’s Senegal exits the round on a sour note. Iran 2-2 New Zealand then slipped a point each into Nichola’s and Tega’s columns. The day’s third fixture, Iraq 1-4 Norway, broke the inter-couple streak: after two draws, Pete’s Norway took it four to Emily’s one.

Today’s already-on-the-board: Richard’s Argentina 3-0 Algeria - the tier-1 in and a clean sheet. Tega’s Austria is level with Emily’s Jordan at the break. Still to come: England v Croatia is Henry’s biggest moment of the tournament so far - his tier-1 pick has finally landed. Sophie’s Portugal face Pete’s Congo DR, and Richard’s Ghana open against Tega’s Panama.
