Daily Recap
Ella surges on Spain's 4-0; Richard stays seven clear
Monday, 22 June 2026
Yesterday's results
Sunday belonged to the favourites. Ella’s Spain thumped Henry’s Saudi Arabia 4-0 - the day’s standout - and with Ella’s Ecuador holding Pete’s Curaçao 0-0, Ella vaulted up the table. The only blot on her afternoon was Emily’s Japan hammering her Tunisia 4-0, a result that carried Emily up alongside the leaders.
The two remaining games were shared: Pete’s Belgium and Nichola’s Iran played out 0-0, while Nichola’s Uruguay drew 2-2 with Sophie’s Cape Verde - Sophie’s first point in a while, and enough to nudge her off the foot of the goal-difference column’s worst extremes.
The table now reads: Richard 22, untouched and seven clear, then Tega and Ella level on 15 (Tega ahead on GD), Emily and Pete on 14, Nichola 11, Henry 9 and Sophie 7. Henry is the week’s faller - Saudi Arabia’s 4-0 loss leaves his goal difference at -3 and drops him to seventh.
Odds watch
Richard stays the firm favourite at ~3.08 (32%), flat on the day - nothing dents a seven-point lead. The mover is Ella, in to 5.41 (18.5%, +1.4pp), because Spain has overtaken Argentina as the model’s outright World Cup favourite (22.9% to 21.9%) and Ella’s tier-1 anchor is now the single most valuable team on the board. At the other end the longshots drift further out: Tega to 24.78, Sophie to 26.34, with Pete easing to 13.65. (50,000 sims, 40 group games locked; mid-tier title odds still wobble on the random knockout draw until the official bracket lands.)
Site updates (21 Jun): the Fixtures tab now opens on Upcoming so the next games show with no scrolling, with a one-tap Results view (most-recent-first). The old Results tab is renamed Team Scores and no longer repeats the Overall Table - each player’s page drills from their table line down through their six teams to the individual matches.
